MLM Company AmeriPlan USA Ordered To Shut Down In Montana

Montana State Insurance Auditor John Morrison has issued an order to AmeriPlan USA, a multilevel marketer of medical care discount cards, to Cease & Desist all business in the state. The state auditor claims AmeriPlan had failed to contract with any medical doctors or chiropractor anywhere in the entire state, and with only one dentist. The AmeriPlan web site and some of it's distributors allegedly claimed to have a substantial number of medical care providers, dentists and chiropractors contracted in Montana that had agreed to provide a discount to those who purchased the AmeriPlan card. The state auditor's office claims AmeriPlan has 700 members in Montana who are unable to use the discount cards because there are virtually no providers in the state.

MLM Company Herbalife Completes Debt Refinancing

Herbalife Ltd., a holding company of Herbalife International, MLM company and maker of weight control programs, said Friday it refinanced an existing $225 million senior secured credit line and will take a one-time charge related to the refinancing.

The company said it closed on a $300 million senior secured credit facility, which consists of a $200 million, seven-year loan and a $100 million, six-year revolving credit facility.

MLM Company USANA Announces 2nd Quarter Results

MLM company USANA Health Sciences Inc. today announced record net sales for the fiscal second quarter of 2006 (ended July 1). Consolidated net sales in the second quarter of 2006 increased 14.5% to $93.9 million, compared with $82.0 million in the second quarter of the prior year. This is the highest level of quarterly sales recorded in the company's history. Net sales growth for the second quarter of 2006 was driven primarily by a 13.6% increase in the number of Active Associates, compared with the second quarter of the prior year.
