MLM Company USANA To Open In Malaysia

MLM company USANA has announced that it has received its business license in Malaysia and will begin operations there in the first quarter of 2007. According to the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations, Malaysia is one of the top 15 markets for direct selling, with approximately $1.4 billion in annual sales. Malaysia will be the 13th market where USANA products are sold and distributed through its worldwide network of more than 145,000 independent Associates. The USANA Malaysia facility will be located in Petaling Jaya and will contain administrative offices, a distribution centre, Associate meeting rooms, and a call centre.

“We are very excited to offer the USANA products and business opportunity in this growing market,” Mr. Wentz said. “Our network marketing system and science-based products have proven to be successful in several markets within this region, and we hope to achieve similar long-term success in Malaysia.”

Poor Market Reaction To MLM Company USANA's Q3 Earnings

Shares of MLM company USANA Health Sciences Inc. fell Wednesday, a day after the maker of health and beauty products came in slightly below analyst expectations with both its third-quarter earnings and fourth-quarter outlook.

Shares fell $3.48, or 7 percent, to $45.34 in afternoon trading on the Nasdaq with above-average volume. The stock has traded between $35.06 to $48.92 and is up about 27 percent from the beginning of the year to Tuesday's close.

MLM And Direct Sales In Czech Republic

Tupperware Czech Republic, one of the leading Czech direct sale providers, saw its losses grow to CZK 31 million last year from CZK 16 million in 2004. In contrast, sales rose by nearly CZK 47 million year-on-year to CZK 155.9 million.

Turnover of eight companies grouped in the Czech association of direct sale (AOP) grew by 8 percent to CZK 4.2 billion last year. According to AOP estimates, the companies account for more than a half of the total turnover from Czech direct sale.

MLM Company USANA Reports Q3 Results

MLM company Usana Health Sciences Inc., a maker of nutritional and beauty products, said Tuesday its third-quarter profit edged up 2 percent, but earnings per share fell a penny short of Street estimates. Income for the quarter was $10.2 million, or 55 cents per share, up from $10 million, or 51 cents per share, last year. Revenue for the quarter was $95.2 million, up 16 percent from $82.2 million last year

The idea of Coke and Pepsi working together to introduce cola to an uninitiated foreign country is unbelievable.

But that's essentially what the marketers of tropical juice drinks - and vitamins, skin-care products and nutritional supplements - are doing this week in China.

Normally, Nature's Sunshine, NuSkin, Tahitian Noni and USANA executives would be strategizing a way to cut into each other's profits. But in meetings with leaders of the State Food and Drug Administration Monday, the Utah MLM companies banded together to ask Chinese regulators to consider comparing their rules to those in other countries.
